Justin played in his first outdoor tournament of the summer. Everyone was a little rusty, they are still trying to get their sand legs back after a long winter. It was really fun to watch him do what he loves. Davis was also great, she smiled and slept pretty much the whole time we were there. Later that night we went over to our friends house and watched the men's ncaa volleyball finals. Irvine ended up winning in a great 5 set battle with USC. It was a great way to kick off the summer. We can't wait for more great times!

Later that week we decided to really take advantage of the weather and went up to the duck pond in sugar house. It was fun to feed the ducks, and a little scary because they got a little close for comfort. We walked around the whole park it was awesome. I also got to dress Davis in some of her cute summer clothes. She has the cutest summer wardrobe and I can't wait for her to wear all of them.
She was his biggest fan all day. It was so cute when she just curled up in the blanket and fell asleep.

YAY summer clothes!! I absolutely love the matching shoes with this outfit. Thank you Sharisa for helping pick this out. Why is it that when I should be looking for clothes for me do always end up with stuff for her?

Isn't she the cutest?

Arizona

At the end of April on a whim Justin and I packed up the car and drove ten hours to Arizona. I was a little nervous with Davis but again she did awesome! We stopped every once in a while and got her out of her car seat and walked around. It was a last minute trip, Justin has the whole month of May off so we have taken advantage of it. It was so fun to see everyone and be there for my mother in laws birthday. One of the best parts was getting to see my adorable nephew Merrick. I haven't seen him since he was tiny and still in the hospital. He is huge now and so cute, I even got to watch him one afternoon while Sharisa was working. He was awesome, but I am glad that I didn't have twins. One baby is enough for me right now. We got to go out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory for Debby's birthday. Also we had a family dinner when Mark got back into town, it was great that the whole family minus Molly were there. (molly was very missed, and I have new respect for her culinary prowess) Some other highlights were shopping and getting my hair done with Sharisa. I am just sorry that we missed seeing Erica and the girls by just a few hours.

Merrick and his big blue eyes.

Davis dancing with dad at Cheesecake Factory.

He didn't even flinch when we fed him a lemon. He sucked that thing bone dry it was the funniest thing to watch.

Happy birthday Grandma we love you and thank you for all you do!
We love the bumbo she was able to sit at the table during dinner and let mom and dad talk.
Uncle Brock teaching Davis how to set. Look at those hands she is natural

She has a great grip already.

She is growing so fast.

Summer

SUMMER IS HERE!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!! I am so excited that summer is here, the pool is open, the sun is shinning, and I don't have to bundle Davis up every time we go out. Spring and the beginning of summer are the best parts of the year here in Utah. flowers bloom, trees and grass come back to life and you remember why it is that you still live here. Utah really is a majestic state when you take time to recognize its beauty. Luckily Justin has the whole month of May off so we have taken advantage of every second together before he is gone every week. We have tried some new great places to eat, seen some new sights and taken Davis out to experience life. It has been so wonderful having so much help with Davis, we do make a good team.
We have taken Davis to the pool almost everyday. She was a little skeptical at first but now she loves the water. She will even fall asleep while we are holding her in the water. But that might now mean much since she can fall asleep anywhere.
Off to the pool for the first time

Yes she is eating her floaty.

Look at those eyes. I could just eat her.
